Rochelle Rong was called to the Bar in 2005.
Rochelle was educated in China, Singapore and England. She has travelled extensively and speaks fluent Chinese (Mandarin).
She has a general civil law practice with particular interest in personal injury, disease, fraudulent claims, costs, business and property and employment claims. Since completing pupillage, she has gained extensive experience in appearing in fast track applications and trials. She also has experience in multi-track trials.
Personal Injury
Rochelle acts for both claimants and defendants in all aspect of personal injury law, including road traffic accidents, industrial and workplace injuries and tripping claims.
She has extensive experience in advising and acting for local authorities in defending highways and workplace claims.
She has also appeared at CICA and CRU appeals.
Disease
She has experience in advising and acting on behalf of both claimants and defendants in occupational disease claims.
Fraudulent Claims
She has acted for both claimants and defendants in claims involving allegations of fraud, mostly in road traffic accidents.
She has experience in advising clients in writing and conference and has appeared in related application hearings.
Costs
She has been instructed in a number of detailed assessment hearings and has appeared on behalf of both paying and receiving parties.
Business and Property
She is frequently instructed in business and property matters.
She has experience in advising and acting in cases involving trusts and equitable remedies.
She also has experience in probate matters and commercial contracts, including building contracts.
Her practice also includes landlord and tenant and both individual and company insolvency. She is particularly interested in developing this area of her practice.
Employment
She has extensive experience in appearing in employment cases involving discrimination, unfair dismissal and equal pay.
