Ropewalk Seminars - 2012

As part of our continuing commitment to shared professional training, we are delighted to invite you to a programme of seminars on topical matters of law, to be held throughout 2012.

As this year will see the implementation of Lord Justice Jackson's Review of Civil Litigation Costs, members of the Costs Special Interest Group will offer their views on the post-Jackson landscape at three seminars, including a two hour seminar in Birmingham in July, to be repeated in Leeds in September.

To acknowledge our increasing presence in the field, the Regulatory Special Interest Group will be hosting a half day conference on the latest developments in Health and Safety law in June. A review of the year's Health and Safety developments will be held in November.

Our annual flagship event, the day-long Personal Injury Litigation Conference will be held on 9th March at the East Midlands Conference Centre. The guest speaker this year is Professor Roger M Atkins who will give an insight into the orthopaedic surgeon's view of CRPS.

The charge for Personal Injury Litigation Conference is £150 plus VAT per delegate, reducing to £125 plus VAT for bookings of three or more. There is no charge to attendees for other seminars in the 2012 programme.

SRA continuing education points will be available for each seminar, as will, where appropriate, APIL Training accreditation (subject to confirmation).

At each event, there will be an opportunity for informal discussion and the chance to meet some of our members of Chambers, together with refreshments.

Places are limited so early booking is recommended via our website.
