After obtaining a first class LLB at the University of Leicester, Megan worked as a paralegal dealing with civil and personal injury claims at a solicitors’ firm in Leeds, whilst also volunteering at her local Citizens Advice Bureau, assisting clients with housing and debt disputes.
At university Megan completed a year abroad in Adelaide, Australia, encountering different aspects of international law.
She completed the BPTC at BPP in Leeds, obtaining an Outstanding and ranking in the top two of her year group. She was director of the mock trials programme at BPP, organising and visiting schools teaching children about the Bar and assisting them in developing legal skills and advocacy. She was a finalist in the BPP Leeds Mock Trial Competition.
Megan was awarded a Hardwicke Scholarship, Lord Denning scholarship and pupillage award from Lincoln’s Inn. She also received a regional scholarship award from BPP Leeds.
Away from the Bar, Megan is an avid skier, having completed a season in Verbier. She enjoys dancing and music and frequently bakes extravagant cakes for friends and family.
