Rochelle was educated in China, Singapore and England.
She graduated from the University of Warwick and obtained a Very Competent on the Bar Vocational Course at Nottingham Law School. After successfully completing pupillage at Ropewalk Chambers, she became a tenant in 2006. She has travelled extensively and speaks fluent Chinese (Mandarin).

Rochelle has a busy clinical negligence practice. She has a particular interest in this area of work and has represented both Claimants and Defendants in a wide range of clinical negligence claims involving NHS trusts, private hospitals, General Practitioners and dentists.
She has extensive experience in the field of clinical negligence and has been instructed in a wide range of cases such as those involving failure to diagnose and treat ectopic pregnancies, failure and delay in diagnosis and treatment leading to deaths, treatment carried out without informed consent, negligent performance of (general and cosmetic) surgeries resulting in complications and personal injury.
Recent instructions include cases of cleavage saving mastectomy, delay in the diagnosis of breast cancer, needle tract seeding, negligently performed eye surgery and failure to diagnose high grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Rochelle is very skilled in dealing with medical experts from different disciplines and is highly experienced in advising on complex issues of breach of duty and causation. She frequently receives positive feedbacks from instructing solicitors for her thoroughness and is particularly good at establishing a good rapport with lay clients.

Rochelle is highly experienced in dealing with noise-induced hearing loss claims. She is often asked to provide written advice on a range of issues such as limitation, breach of duty (including engineering evidence) and causation. She is skilled in handling expert medical evidence both in conference and at Court.
Rochelle has extensive experience in dealing with claims arising out of the breach of COSHH Regulations, including claims of respiratory (e.g. occupational asthma) and dermatological conditions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
As part of her disease practice, she also receives regular instructions in cases involving HAVS / CTS, work-related upper limb / back disorders, mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer, and occupational stress.

As part of her personal injury practice, Rochelle also represents interested parties (including care homes) at Inquests.
Rochelle has extensive experience in dealing with higher value personal injury claims arising out of serious road traffic accidents. She is often instructed to represent clients in Multi Track trials where issues of fraud and fundamental dishonesty are raised.
